Omaha Action at Full Tilt Poker
Full Tilt Poker offers both Omaha High and Omaha Hi/Lo variants – both in ring games and tournaments. Full Tilt also offers these games in various types. In particular, there are pot-limit, fixed-limit, no-limit, and cap limit types of Omaha Hi and Hi/Lo.
Full Tilt has decent Omaha traffic and is a very good place to play if your looking for high stakes PL Omaha High. Omaha Hi/Lo games garner around 500 players and Omaha Hi generally gets around 450 during peak hours.
The other day, I observed the Omaha tables around 3 am, Eastern Time. Pot Limit Omaha Hi tables had around 460 players. I also checked out the action at Omaha Hi/Lo tables. There were around 112 players in Pot-Limit tables and a bit less than that (around a hundred on the average) playing at Fixed-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tables at that time.
The pot sizes in Omaha tables at Full Tilt could also get relatively large. In fact, I was watching the Omaha High action the other day and there was a table with three players that had a $10,000 average pot size. The day before that, there was a table with a $4,000 pot size average for Omaha Hi/Lo.
Such stakes are not average, mind you. The average pot sizes for most Omaha tables run in the hundred-dollar range. However, such large pot sizes in some tables tell us that Full Tilt is home to some Omaha high-flyers. |
